Lead glass is a glass which provides a high-quality protection against x-rays, with high lead/barium content and amber colour.

It is the perfect solution for a protective shield against x-ray radiations in medical, technical and research applications.

In radiology, our lead x-ray glass has visual and acoustic properties which allows to keep a visual and verbal contact with the patient.

Our lead glass has many advantages:

  • Protection against gamma rays and X-rays
  • Available in any geometric shape
  • Available in laminated glass and insulating glass (lead side inside the building)
  • Possibility to assemble lead glass with laminated switchable glass. The manufacturing process of this glass consists in putting a liquid crystal interlayer between two EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) glass sheets that are also covered with two glass sheets. The electric current makes the glass change from an opaque to a transparent state.

We can supply a variety of standard sizes and thicknesses of lead glass to meet the needs of nearly any application.
