The INOVA® Switchable Glass, also called opacifying glass, is an EVA laminated glass manufactured by an assembling process that encapsulates a liquid crystal polyester film between 2 glass sheets.
The electric current makes the active controlled-occultation glass change from a transparent (ON) to opaque (OFF). When the power is turned off, it gets its opaque appearance for more privacy.
A simple switch or a remote control is enough to activate its change of state. The operation is reversible and can be repeated indefinitely. It can also be controlled from a smartphone via Wi-Fi (frequency required: 2.4 GHz (gigahertz)). The operation is reversible and can be repeated indefinitely.
How it works
This glass can be controlled using a switch, a remote control (optional), or your phone via Wi-Fi (optional).
The electric current through the film between the two glasses changes the glazing from opaque to transparent for more privacy and intimacy. When the current is cut, the glass returns to its original opaque state.

Composition and installation
The glazing includes a 2-meter black and white wire connected to a pre-wired transformer capable of powering up to 15m² of glazing.
We offer 4 different transformers depending on the number of square meters of glass.
An optional receiver and remote control are also supplied.
All installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician and installed in accordance with current standards. Acetic silicones may not be used. Only neutral silicones may be used.
All connections to the switchable glass have already been made.
For optimal use, it is essential to install it in an environment free from excessive lighting (halogen lamps, grazing light, computer or TV screens, overhead projectors, sunlight).
